Have you ever heard of a "Captain's Breeze"? This is an interesting drink that I had come up with when I was helping my buddy set up for his party down in Charlotte, NC. It was a well to do party; there was a DJ, bar tenders, catering service, and more. He's one of the top real estate agents in Charlotte, NC and was showing his appreciation for his clients.
We had gone to Frugal MacDoogal Wine and Liquor Warehouse. It was the largest liquor/wine store I have ever seen. We were expecting about 75 - 100 people, that's a lot of booze. I knew we had to stock up on some Captain Morgan since I was attending.
Now my twin brother hardly ever drinks. He's not big on mixed drinks, but he wanted to find one that he would like. We tried a couple drinks that didn't work out. I like Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum a lot, so he tried a couple drinks that had Captain in it. We came across a drink that he finally liked. It was 1.5 ounces of Captain Morgan, 2 ounces of orange juice and 2 ounces of cranberry juice. I called it a Captain's Breeze. Now if you don't like orange juice you can replace it with pineapple juice.
When the bartenders started setting up, they have never heard of this drink concoction. They tried it out and really liked it. Once the party started the drink was a hit. I'm glad we had bought extra Captain Morgan. It’s a sweet drink with a little spice to it. It’s not a complicated drink to make either, and it tastes great at a party on a cool summer night.
